The Horsie Battle

Nemo De walked in his garden
A great king he was.
And by his side was his loyal wife
And even loyaller horse.

He was a strong and powerful horse.
hunder was his name.
He loved his master so much that
He would have served him even if he were lame.

And Nemo's neighbor was his enemy,
The treacherous Conard De Or.
He was planning an attack on Nemo De.
He wanted a cruel war.

'Twas what worried Nemo De.
For a war he was never game.
He was worried about his people,
His loyal horse and dame.

And so he went to Conard De
After taking much pain.
He tried to convince him that peace was best
But it was all in vain.

He was challenged to a horse-race match
Where the loser would have to heed
The winner's command, whatever it may be
And King Nemo readily agreed.

And when he strode into the racetrack
On his loyal Thunder,
There was Conard De on his horse,
The fearsome and ferocious Plunder.

In the beginning Plunder took the lead
Galloping on his hinds.
And the spectators watched breathlessly
Thinking that Thunder would be left far behind.

But Thunder was not to be defeated yet.
He soon regained his pace.
After hours of running, foam and sweat,
He finally won the race.

And banished was Conard De Or
Under his cruel name.
He took with him his loyal horse
Who was, by now, lame.

And then ruled happily Nemo De
With his loyal horse.
There was peace in his empire
There weren't any wars.
