Sandwitch Recipes


1. Sandwitch Roll Ups(for 2 servings)

Ingredients

1. Bread
2. Filling, such as peanut butter and jelly, ham and cheese, chicken salad

Method:

1. Using a rolling pin, roll out a slice of bread until it becomes very thin.
2. Spread or place filling over the bread.
3. Carefully roll bread lengthwise, hold together with toothpicks if needed.
4. Slice into bite sized pieces or eat as is.
Repeat 1 to 4 with another slice of bread for the second serving.

2. Baked Cheese Sandwitch (for 1 sandwitch)

Ingredients

1. 1 or 2 slices of process american cheese.
2. 2 slices white or dark rye bread.
3. soft butter or margarine.

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 450 degree.
2. Place 1 or 2 slices of cheese between 2 slices of bread.
3. Spread outsides of the sandwitch with soft butter.
4. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
5. Bake in 450 degree oven about 12 minutes or until the cheese melts and the bread is golden brown.

3. Egg Salad Sandwitch (Makes 4 sandwitches)

Ingredients

1. 3 hard-cooked eggs.
2. 1 celery stalk.
3. 3 tablespoons mayonnaise or salad dressing.
4. 1/4 teaspoon onion salt.
5. 1/8 teaspoon salt.
6. Soft butter or margarine.
7. 8 slices rye or whole wheat bread.

Method:

1. Peel 3 hard-cooked eggs.
2. Wash 1 celery stalk and pinch off leaves.
3. Chop the celery and the eggs into 1/4 inch pieces on cutting board.Place in bowl.
4. Stir in 3 tablespoons mayonnaise, 1/4 teaspoon onion salt and 1/8 teaspoon salt.
5. Spread 8 slices bread with soft butter, then spread half of them with the egg mixture and cover with remaining slices to make 4 sandwitches. Cut each sandwitch in half and serve right away. Refrigerate any leftover sandwitches.

4. Potato sandwitch( for 4 sandwitches)

Ingredients

1. 1/2 lb. potato .
2. 2 tablespoon cooking oil .
3. 1/2 teaspoon salt(according to taste) .
4. Cilantro, cut in small pieces .
5. 1 small Onion, cut in small pieces .
6. 1 teaspoon crushed ginger .
7. Butter .
8. Pepper.
9. 8 slices of bread.

Method:

1. Boil potato and peel it.
2. Cut it in small pieces.
3. In a fry pan, heat the oil and put onion.
4. Fry the onions until it becomes golden brown.
5. After that add ginger, salt, cilantro and pepper.
6. Mix well for 2-3 minutes until the spices get cooked.
7. Then put the boiled and cut potatoes and fry it for 3-4 minutes.
8. Put the potato stuff in between two slices of bread and then put the stuff together with the little bit of butter into the sandwitch maker. After it is heated for two to three minutes,sandwitch is ready. Just repeat the step 8 only to prepare remaining three sandwitches.

5. Baked Chicken Sandwitch (makes 2 sandwitches)

Ingredients

1. 1/2 lb. chicken (breast pieces) .
2. 1 teaspoon salt (According to taste) .
3. 1 tablespoon oil.
4. 3 tablespoon yogurt.
5. 1 teaspoon garlic paste.
6. 1 teaspoon ginger paste.
7. 1 teaspoon Pepper (optional 1/4 teaspoon red chilli powder)
8. 4 slices of hamburger bun.
9. Lettuce, 1 tomato and mayonnaise

Method:

1. Cut chicken in small pieces.
2. Marinate the chicken with all the above ingredients for 3-4 hours.
3. Bake in 350 degree oven for 15-20 minutes or until its golden brown.
4. Put the baked chicken along with the lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise in between 2 slices of hamburger bun. You can eat it with tomato ketchup or sauce of your taste.
Note: You can marinate the chicken for the whole night and make the sandwitch next morning.

6. Denver Sandwitch(2 sandwitches)

Ingredients

1. 1/2 small onion, chopped .
2. 1/4 green pepper, chopped.
3. 1 1/2 tablespoons butter or margarine.
4. 3 eggs.
5. 3 tablespoons milk.
6. Salt and pepper.
7. 2 toasted, buttered, split hamburger rolls.

Method:

1. Saute onion and green pepper slowly in butter or margarine in a frying pan for 5 minutes.
2. Beat eggs slightly with milk and salt and pepper and pour in the same pan.
3. Scramble with onion-green pepper mixture just until set.
4. Spoon onto hot toasted rolls.
