Dinner Menu (Continued)


1. Chilli Chicken

Ingredients

1. 1/2 lb.Boneless Chicken Breast.
2. 1 egg.
3. 1 1/2 teaspoon salt.
4. 1 teaspoon white pepper.
5. 2 tablespoon Cornflour.
6. 2 tablespoon white vinegar.
7. 2 tablespoon Soyasauce.
8. 1 medium size onion cut in pieces.
9. 1 cup oil.
10. 2/3 cup water.
11. 1 green pepper - remove seed and cut in small pieces.
12. 2 green chilli - cut in pieces.
13. 8 cloves of garlic - peeled and cut in pieces.
14. 1/2 teaspoon ajino moto.

Method

1. Cut chicken in very small pieces and put it in a bowl.
2. Add egg, salt, white pepper, cornflour, white venegar and soyasauce. Keep aside for 10 minutes.
3. Heat pan and put oil in it. When the oil is hot, then fry chicken pieces on medium heat. Keep it aside.
4. In a different pan, put two tablespoon oil. Add garlic, chilli and green pepper. Fry it for sometime. Then add onion and again fry for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add fried chicken, soyasauce, salt(according to taste), ajino moto and chilli sauce. After 5 minutes, pour water. Leave it for 10 minutes. When the water is dried, remove from heat. And its ready to eat.

2. Chow Mein

Ingredients

1. Noodles 400 grams.
2. Cabbage 100 grams.
3. Green pepper(capsicum) 100 grams.
4. French beans 100 grams.
5. Carrot 100 grams.
6. Onion 100 grams.
7. Soyasauce 2 tablespoon.
8. White vinegar 3 teaspoon.
9. White pepper 1 teaspoon.
10. Ajino moto 1/2 teaspoon.
11. Oil 1/5 cup.
12. Salt 2 teaspoon.

Method

1. Wash and cut all the above vegetables in thin long pieces.
2. Heat a pan on medium heat, put oil and fry cabbage, carrot, french beans and green pepper for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
3. Fry onions for 5 minutes. Keep it aside.
4. In a deep pan take 3 cups of water. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1 tablespoon oil. Let the water boil.
5. When the water boils then add noodles. Let it cook for 4-5 minutes. When the noodle is 3/4 th cooked then remove the pan from heat and drain the water.
6. In a frying pan heat some oil and fry noodles for some time.
7. Add soyasauce, white vinegar, salt, white pepper and ajino moto. Fry for 5 minutes.
8. Add all the fried vegetables and fry it for 5-7 minutes. Serve with chilli sauce and tomato ketchup.

3. Baked Bean

Ingredients

1. 1 - 1/2 cup chopped onions.
2. 1 - 1/2 cup chopped green pepper.
3. 2 lb. canned vegetarian baked beans .
4. 2 cups diced tomatoes.
5. 1/2 teaspoon salt.
6. 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper.
7. 2 tablespoon oil.

Method

1. Heat oil in a frypan. Saute the onion and green pepper for 10 minutes.
2. In a casserole, arrange successive layers of beans, tomatoes and sauted vegetables.
3. Sprinkle the vegetables with salt and pepper.
4. Arrange a top layer of tomatoes.
5. Bake in oven at 350 degree for 30 minutes. And its ready to eat.

4. Butter Chicken

Ingredients

1. 2 lb. boneless and skinless chicken.
2. 1/2 cup plain yoghurt.
3. 1 1/2 teaspoon salt.
4. 2 teaspoon ginger paste.
5. 2 teaspoon garlic paste.
6. 2 medium sized onion, cut and grind in a blender.
7. 2 medium sized tomato, cut in small pieces.
8. 2 tablespoon cilantro, cut in small pieces.
9. 3 tablespoon oil.
10. 4 tablespoon sour cream or whisper cream.

Method

1. Cut chicken in small pieces.
2. In a big bowl marinate chicken in 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon ginger, 1 teaspoon garlic, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder and 1/2 cup plain yoghurt. Keep aside for 4-5 hours.
3. Put the chicken in oven at 350 degree for 20 - 30 minutes until the chicken is tender.
4. Heat oil in a fry pan. Add onion paste and fry it until its light golden brown.
5. After that add remaining ginger, garlic, salt, chilli powder, 1 green chilli, tomatoes. Let it fry for 5 minutes.
6. Add chicken, cream and cilantro. In medium heat fry it for 5-7 minutes till the gravy becomes thick. And the butter chicken is ready to eat.
7. You can eat with bread, bun or naan.
